Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium or 2 large overripe bananas, mashed (~1½ cups)
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Optional mix-ins: dark chocolate chips walnuts, etc.

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash bananas until smooth. Stir in melted butter, honey, eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
  5. Add any optional mix-ins and pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
