Ingredients
  

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter cold and cubed (¼-inch pieces)
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt sea salt or table salt
  • 8 –10 tbsp ice water

Method
 

  1. Add butter, flour, and salt to a food processor.
  2. Pulse 15–20 times until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, pulsing between additions until dough begins to clump together.
  4. Turn onto a counter, gently form into a ball, then divide into two.
  5. Flatten into discs and chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Roll each disc on a floured surface until 4 inches larger than your pie plate.

Notes
